Orbital angular momentum light greatly increases its ability to transmit information due to the helical phase it carries. Light is affected by many factors during its propagation, and particle scattering is one of them. Scattering will cause the change of light intensity and phase. The effect of particle parameters on scattering can be obtained by analyzing the result of OAM light scattering by particles. In this paper, the single particle scattering characteristics of OAM light are studied by using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The scattering characteristics are represented by light intensity and phase images, and the light scattering information of different particle parameters is obtained, where the influence of particle parameters on the light scattering characteristics of OAM beam can be found.
