Superconducting electrodynamic suspension (EDS) technology is one of the important technologies of the future ultra-high speed maglev propulsion system, which can be applied to the ultra-high speed maglev vehicle and rocket (electromagnetic) sled at a speed of more than 600km/h. However, the study on the EDS system is still in its infancy, and in the practical application of engineering, the existence of passive electromagnetic force leads to the problem of vibration divergence of suspended vehicle body. It is found that the damping characteristics of the EDS system can not meet the practical needs. And whether the damping problem can be solved is the key factor for the stable operation of the suspension system. Therefore, the suspension vehicle body of EDS system is taken as the research object, and its dynamic modeling is carried out to analyze its motion characteristics. Finally, a method of damping and absorbing vibration is designed. Simulation results show that the proposed method can make the vibration of the suspended vehicle body converge. The research of this paper will provide an important basis for the development and practical application of EDS technology.
