摘要
Chronic wounds pose a significant challenge to wound care professionals and have substantial cause of socioeconomic implications worldwide. This study focuses on the development of a gel containing encapsulated iodine-chitosan graphene oxide nanopockets (I-CH-GO-NPOs) with a comprehensive evaluation to discern its potential in enhancing the wound healing trajectory for full thickness chronic wounds. The prepared I-CH-GO-NPOs gel showed higher antibacterial property of 0.00513 +/- 0.00014 mg/ml against gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Further, in vivo wound healing efficacy of I-CH-GO-NPOs was evaluated in Sprague-Dawley rats which showed a significant increase of 99.89 +/- 2.2% in the wound contraction.
