A method for studying the components of the light detection system of the Liquid Argon Time-Projection Chamber (LArTPC) of the Near Detector of the DUNE experiment (DUNE ND) in liquid argon is presented. As part of the methodology, comparative tests of a full-scale light collection module for a liquid argon time-projection chamber and a shortened module were carried out using a cryogenic stand.
