Many parts of the world are already experiencing climate change-related extreme weather events such as heatwaves, floods, and wildfires, which are projected to worsen in both intensity and frequency. The World Health Organization (WHO) also warns of "Disease X"-a term that includes both known and unknown infectious diseases capable of posing considerable global public health risks.
