摘要
Phosphate glasses with a composition of 80NaH2PO4-18Na2CO3-2Al2O3-xEu2O3 (x = 0.5–4 mol%) were synthesized using the melt-quenching technique. The amorphous structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. Energy-dependent absorbance and reflectivity changes in PNAE1 glass revealed interference patterns, indicating structural uniformity. Optical property investigations unveiled a band gap of approximately 1.79 eV. Photoluminescence spectra showed strong red emission from europium ions. An optimal Eu3+ concentration was identified at 1 mol%, maximizing electron excitation. Judd-Ofelt analysis yielded intensity parameters for Eu3+ emission bands, with PNAE0.5 identified as a potential material for 613 nm laser emission. PNAE1 exhibited a significant value of σe × Δλeff (96.71 × 10−28 cm3), suggesting promise for Eu3+-doped fiber amplifiers. CIE chromaticity diagram assessment showcased high color purity in the red emission range. Dielectric studies revealed improved optical quality in the PNAE1 sample. Our study illuminates the multifaceted potential of europium-doped phosphate glasses.
