摘要
In Spain there are around 70 000 reservoirs. According to current legislation, users and administrations are obligated to classify them based on the potential risk in the event of a rupture, if they have more than 100 000 m(3) or the dam height exceeds 5 m. With the aim of creating a support system for their classification that facilitates and expedites this process, the ACROPOLIS project has been carried out. To this end, the numerical modelling tool Iber played an essential and cross -cutting role. On one hand, the use of Iber allowed for the development of a simplified method for pre -classifying reservoirs based on machine learning techniques. On the other hand, ad hoc methodologies were developed in Iber to streamline and automate processes, such as the automatic extraction of hydraulic and hazard information at vulnerable points, and the parallelization of the code for computation using high-performance computing techniques.
