Ultrathin alkynylation phthalocyanine-conjugated organic polymer nanosheets for constructing a sensitive electrochemiluminescence sensor

Herein, a novel and high-performance electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor for the detection of methylmalonic acid (MMA) was constructed based on beta-tetraacetylene phthalocyanine covalent organic polymer (TAPc-COP) nanosheets (NSs), which were synthesized via the Sonogashira-Hagihara coupling reaction. The TAPc-COP NSs were coated on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) to form a modified electrode (TAPc-COP|GCE), which demonstrated sensitive ECL responses. The ECL responses were theoretically studied and inferred to occur through a catalytic route with tri-n-propylamine as a co-reactant. Based on these results, an ECL biosensor was constructed for MMA detection with high sensitivity and selectivity. The limit of detection was as low as 0.006 mu M with a linear range of 0.0225-0.18 mu M. beta-Tetraacetylene phthalocyanine covalent organic polymer (TAPc-COP) nanosheets were synthesized and applied for the construction of a high-performance electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor for the detection of methylmalonic acid (MMA).
