A Novel Optimization Method for Rebar Blanking Based on Artificial Intelligence Technology

Rebar is the main material in construction. Rebar blanking has a significant impact on construction cost and quality control. At present, traditional rebar blanking is mainly based on a manual calculation which highly depends on the technical experience of rebar workers. Based on the standardized steps of rebar blanking and the current rebar atlas and construction practices, we combined rebar blanking with artificial intelligence technology for columns, walls, beams, and slabs. Engineering application results showed that compared to the traditional manual calculation, the new method achieved rapid and optimal blanking of rebar while ensuring structural safety, convenient construction, and economic efficiency.
