Facile Synthesis, Characterization and Dielectric Properties of Zn2+ Substituted MgFe2O4 Spinel Nanoparticles

The combustion process was used to create pure and Zn2+ substituted MgFe2O4 nanoparticles. XRD analysis is used to determine the structure of magnesium ferrite samples. The average crystallite size ranges from 26 to 14 nm. FE-SEM images were used to investigate the shape of spinel nanoparticles. The EDX is utilised to confirm the presence of elements, and the tau'c relation was used to calculate the band gap values of 2.08, 2.06, 1.90, and 1.80 eV. The band at 433 and 584 cm−1, which correspond to the stretching vibration of the tetrahedral site (Fe3+ –O2−) and octahedral site (Mg2+ –O2−), respectively, confirms the presence of the magnesium spinel structure. The magnetic characteristics Hc, Mr, and Ms were identified from the hysteresis loops and behave ferromagnetic. Additional study is conducted on the obtained samples' dielectric properties and AC conductivity.
