摘要
Fusion devices are developing rapidly in recent years and designed to generate over 20 T magnetic field in the future devices. Diverse high temperature superconducting (HTS) conductors for future fusion devices have been widely studied in the laboratories around the world. Bi-2223 tapes have better mechanical and thermal stability compared with REBCO tapes, and is more suitable for manufacturing more complicated magnets. Based on Bi-2223 tapes, a HTS cable-in-conduit conductor (CICC) coil is designed in this study. Its structure design and electromagnetic analysis are introduced. Besides, a cryogenic test system with forced flow supercritical helium (He) of approximately 4.5 K is designed to facilitate futural operation and multi-aspect tests of the HTS coil.
