摘要

•Three kinds of α-Fe2O3 nanocrystals was used to scavenge U(VI) and Eu(III).•The α-Fe2O3 nanoplates was the best adsorbent for U(VI) and Eu(III) scavenging.•The scavenging process of U(VI) and Eu(III) was spontaneous and endothermic.•These α-Fe2O3 nanocrystals are promising candidates to concentrate U(VI) and Eu(III).
