Methodological Challenges of Empirical First-Person Research Using Mixed Methods

For a broader acceptance and incorporation of qualitative first -person approaches in mainstream psychology and cognitive science, methodological rigor, transparency, and connectivity are crucial. In this respect, several methodological shortcomings of the target article are identified, discussed, and contrasted with an alternative approach that offers solutions to them.
