摘要
Stylommatophoran (Helicoidea and Gastrodontoidea) gastropods in non-marine Pliocene and Pleistocene deposits of Tuscany and Umbria, Central Italy, are investigated. The taxonomic status of an extinct helicid from the Mio-Pliocene of Tuscany, Helix senensis Pantanelli, 1877, which has long been considered to belong to the Neogene genus Galactochilus Sandberger, 1875 is revised. Due to shell morphology, including features of the protoconch and teleoconch, H. senensis is assigned to the extinct genus Agalactochilus Kadolsky, Binder & Neubauer, 2016 (Helicidae: Ariantinae) (Agalactochi-lus senensis (Pantanelli, 1877) n. comb.), and a lectotype is designated. Among 4 land gastropods from the late Early Pleistocene of Umbria, Tacheocampylaea fornacis n. sp. (Gastrodontidae: Murellinae) is described. Warm-temperate climatic conditions and humid environment are inferred for the recorded assemblages.
