Environmental educommunication in latin america: a review of programs and web portals

This research has proposed the review of programs and web portals of environmental educommunication in Latin America. The research approach is mixed, the design corresponds to a collective case study. Seven dimensions in environmental educommunication programs were studied: previous diagnosis, general approach, objectives, resources, personnel, evaluation and dissemination, in 20 programs distributed in 19 Latin American countries. The instrument used was an observation template based on previous work. The results obtained show that the programs analyzed exhibit strengths in aspects such as the adequate diagnosis, the selection of the recipients, the educational program per se (objectives, contents, methodology), the resources used and the qualified responsible personnel to take charge of the program. The least achieved indicators refer to the evaluation, promotion and dissemination of the programs, aspects of singular importance for the impact they may have at the educational level.
