Two-phase DC-DC converter with SiC MOSFETs for a 1.5 kV rated energy storage

This paper describes the design and tests of a two-phase interleaved DC-DC converter connecting 1.5 kV and 800 V DC links in the fast charging system. The converter was validated experimentally up to 260 kW, and it is shown that using state-of-the-art SiC-based power modules allows to reach high efficiency (up to 98.7%) at notable frequencies (up to 25 kHz) and with reduced passive components.
