Charge Pump Concept Based Oscillating Triboelectric Nanogenerator with One Fixed Point-Structure

This manuscript describes a novel oscillating triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) that can convert mechanical energy into electricity for IoT devices. The device has a one fixed point-structure that allows both the charge pump TENG and the main TENG to operate simultaneously, increasing the output power and the degree of freedom. The device structure, the current generating mechanism, and the optimization of the insulating layer are elucidated. The experimental results of the 4.08 times of short-circuit current value and the stability of the device for 22,500 cycles are also studied. The oscillating TENGs have promising potential for self-powered sensor systems.
