摘要
This paper investigates the reliability performance of a downlink simultaneous transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (STAR-RIS) enabled non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) network with short packet communications. In the considered network, two blocked users communicate with the aid of STAR-RIS and transmit by utilizing the energy spitting protocol. To characterize the performance, the closedform expressions of average block error rate (BLER) at the users are derived and diversity order is also analyzed. The theoretical analysis is verified through simulation results. The achieved results demonstrate that the proposed STAR-RIS-NOMA network outperforms the conventional RIS-NOMA and relay schemes in terms of reliability performance.
