摘要
An integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system is proposed in this paper, which is assisted by distributed intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs). The system enables simultaneous signal demodulation and location sensing without requiring channel state information (CSI). A detailed workflow for the proposed IRS-based ISAC system is designed, including transmission protocol, concurrently location sensing and demodulation, as well as beamforming design scheme by using the proposed integrated localization and demodulation (I-LAD) algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed I-LAD algorithm achieves a signal demodulation performance close to that of the benchmark scheme assuming perfect CSI. Additionally, the channel estimation performance is comparable to that of the Sparse Bayesian Learning (SBL) based algorithm. Moreover, the proposed location sensing scheme achieves a centimetre-level localization accuracy.
