Study on Microstructure and Corrosion Resistance of FeCoCrNiMo/Al-10Si Composites Prepared by Laser Deposition

FeCoCrNiMo/Al-10Si composites were prepared by laser deposition, the effects of FeCoCrNiMo high-entropy alloy reinforcement content on the microstructure and corrosion resistance of the composites were investigated using XRD, SEM, and electrochemical workstation. The results show that the phases of FeCoCrNiMo/Al-10Si composites mainly consist of α-Al, Si, HEA, and μ . As the reinforcement content of FeCoCrNiMo high-entropy alloy increases, the grain size of the composites gradually decreases, and the morphology of the high-entropy alloy reinforcement changes from spherical to petal-shaped and finally to coarse fishbone-shaped. Furthermore, the corrosion resistance of FeCoCrNiMo/Al-10Si composites in a 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution increases with the increase of FeCoCrNiMo high-entropy alloy reinforcement.
