摘要
Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) remains better than prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PSMA-PET/CT) for detecting cancer within the prostate. A combination of the two imaging modalities, with exceptionally high negative predictive value, could help patients avoid prostate biopsy. PSMA-PET/CT should be considered for diagnostic use in patients unable to have mpMRI or as a second-line investigation for those with concerning clinical features but negative mpMRI.
