Impact of shorter (<14 days) antibiotic treatment duration in adults with uncomplicated Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia: a systematic review and meta-analysis

•We systematically reviewed the evidence on duration of antibiotic treatment for adults with uncomplicated Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia. Our conclusions indicate that antibiotic courses of less than 14 days could be considered on a case-by-case basis as this practice was not associated with higher mortality.
