摘要
This study aims at observing damage behavior of porous components under compression using multi modal measurement combining Acoustic Emission (AE) and IR.uniform porous structures were fabricated using a 3D printer in order to observe the damage process during the compressive loading. Then, the influence of the crack-connecting behavior among pores on mechanical properties was investigated experimentally. By using AE and IR method, high agreement between the onset of AE signal and temperature change at the surface of the porous material was revealed. The crack initiation location of porous materials with spherical and elliptical pores is found to be near the estimated location of the sudden AE emission source.
