Impact of timing of urgent coronary artery bypass grafting following coronary angiography on acute kidney injury

A retrospective observational study was performed to examine if there was an association between the interval from coronary angiography to coronary artery bypass grafting and postoperative acute kidney injury for patients stratified by chronic kidney disease stage. Delaying urgent CABG until Day 3 following coronary angiography appears to modestly decrease the risk of acute kidney injury, regardless of preexisting kidney disease.
