Shoulder Prosthetic Joint Infections Presenting as Atypical Sinus Tracts – A Case Series
JSES International(2023)
摘要
Prosthetic joint infection (PJI) after shoulder arthroplasty is a rare but potentially devastating complication. A sinus tract communicating from the skin to the prosthesis is diagnostic for PJI, however in our experience they do not always occur at the peri-incisional area, which may ultimately result in delayed diagnosis. In an effort to improve awareness, we present a series of shoulder prosthetic joint infections presenting as atypical sinus tracts to the axilla and/or chest wall.
