摘要
•CC16 is an anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory protein expressed in respiratory club cells.•Severe abdominal obesity and arterial hypertension robustly decrease serum CC16.•ACEi/ARBs, uricosurics and chronic heart failure robustly increase serum CC16.•Effects might be mediated by adipose tissue inflammation as well as RAAS and uric acid disturbance.•Findings indicate a complex interplay of the metabolic, respiratory and cardiovascular system.
