Incisor torque recovery in a transfer case with iatrogenic perforation of the labial cortical plate

•Inadequate incisor torque control may lead to iatrogenic perforation of the labial cortical plate.•The apex outside of the alveolar trough could be brought back into the alveolar bone by the anterior subapical miniscrew and third order bend on the archwire.•Active vertical control with skeletal anchorage may intrude the entire maxillary dentition to rotate the mandible counterclockwise to improve the chin projection and facial profile.
