Visible-light-driven photo-Fenton oxidation enhanced by Fe/Bi-nanocrystal phase transformation as a universal way for various organic pollutants mineralization

Fe/Bi-nanocrystal phase transformation within BFPCs catalysts contributes to acceleration of electron transfer in Fenton chemistry in the presence of visible light (λ > 420 nm) irradiation. This enhanced system compared to the alike Fenton-like oxidation formed a myriad of HO• radicals outperforms in mineralization rate (>80% on average for varied EOPs), saving H2O2 usage (85%) and reaction time (50%).
