摘要
Uncertainty associated with renewable power generation that supplies microgrid consumption brought new approaches to optimization frameworks. This paper proposes an advanced double -layer adaptive energy management system (EMS) for short-term microgrid operation scheduling. An EMS uses a reactive scheduling framework based on the rolling horizon strategy. It consists of two interconnected optimization problems called layers. The upper layer performs online operation scheduling for profit maximization, while the lower layer performs near real-time dispatching aimed at minimizing corrective measures due to a mismatch in forecasts of input parameters. The developed EMS implements an advanced battery energy storage system (BESS) model and is evaluated using the short-term operation scheduling results of the tested microgrid. The results indicate that the developed optimization framework mitigates uncertainty of input parameters and enables a microgrid operator to lead different operational strategies as a compromise between greater profit and equipment lifetime extension.
