Abstract
A closed-form analysis of the grating lobes of the waveguide-fed metasurface antenna is presented in this paper. Based on the closed-form analysis, a boundary condition is derived to ensure full-space beam scanning without grating lobe. Furthermore, two methods for suppressing grating lobe beyond the boundary condition are investigated.
