Installation Progress of the Central Solenoid (CS) on ITER Site
IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON APPLIED SUPERCONDUCTIVITY(2024)
摘要
The installation process of the Central Solenoid (CS) on the ITER site is a complex and multi-step process that involves careful planning, engineering, and construction. The CS occupies the bore of the ITER tokomak and provides a dynamic magnetic field which inductively drives the plasma current. The CS assembly consists of a stack of six modules each electrically connected to bus bars and mechanically bonded with an external structure as shown in (Fig. 1). Each module is connected to its bus bar with a pair of coaxial joints. This document will provide a brief overview of the recent installation progress, and then will focus on several critical steps of one module stacking, such as lifting and joint assembly.
