摘要
In this letter, a reflective metasurface for orbital angular momentum (OAM) and polarization multiplexing communication is proposed in the W-band. To realize OAM and polarization multiplexing communication, not only the design principle of the metasurface is studied, but also the reflective unit capable of being modulated in two polarizations and working in broad bandwidth is designed. Experimental results show that it can generate the multiplexed OAM beams in two polarizations with high mode purities. After measuring the great isolation performance provided by different OAM modes and polarizations, the four generated beams are employed as multiplexing channels to transmit the communication signals with quadrature phase shift keying format, and the data rate reaches 64 Gb/s at last. With the assistance of metasurface, OAM multiplexing technology has shown great potential in large-capacity wireless communication.
