Gas sensor preparation based on green biological template: A review

Gas-sensitive sensors have been widely used in social security, industrial production, environmental monitoring and medical diagnosis, and have received widespread attention. Currently, the problem to be solved is to further improve the sensitivity, selectivity and stability while reducing the operating temperature. Compared with the traditional gas-sensitive material synthesis methods, the sensing materials synthesized by the green bio-template method are morphologically controllable, structurally diverse and green, and the gas-sensitive performance of the sensors can be dramatically optimized by the biotemplate method with metal doping, non-metal doping, morphology modulation, constructing heterojunctions and introducing carbon nanomaterials. This paper summarizes the classification of green bio-templates used for the preparation of gas sensing materials and the progress of research on different semiconductor metal oxide nanomaterials prepared by the green bio-template method in gas sensing field. Finally, the key issues in gas sensing field are presented and the future trends of the bio-template method in the gas sensing sensor industry are foreseen.
