摘要

•Mentalizing imagery therapy (MIT) is a novel approach to promote well-being.•We studied MIT versus a support group for caregiver suicidal ideation (SI).•Most SI participants in the MIT group demonstrated substantial improvement.•SI participants in the support group showed no benefit for acute SI symptoms.•Further study on MIT for caregiver SI with larger samples is urgently needed.
