摘要

•Eco-friendly synthesis of AgNPs is achieved by using silymarin extract.•The physicochemical properties of the PET/EDA/AgNPs were determined.•PET/EDA/AgNP exhibited excellent catalysis and reuse potential.•The 4-nitrophenol degradation efficiency was more than 92.56 % after five cycles.
