N-doped lithium titanium oxide for high power Li-ion rechargeable batteries with excellent cyclability

摘要
•A facile and scalable solid state‐inspired protocol has primarily been devised aiming at the large-scale production of nitrogen-doped Li4Ti5O12.•Synthesis approach provides densely packed highly crystalline particles that exhibit lower Warburg coefficient and higher Li ion diffusion.•Apt nitrogen-doped LTO as a working electrode in Li-ion, displays enhancement in Li-storage capacity by 30% and ultra-long cycling stability.•Further, a full cell with LiCoO2 demonstrated encouraging results for NLT2, achieving capacities of more than 155 mAh/g.
