摘要
•The study includes public transport and car travel times for all patients (c.40,000 men) treated with surgery or radiotherapy for prostate cancer.•We show that analyses of access using car travel times alone significantly under-estimate travel times for patients reliant on public transport.•Travel times are greatest by public transport or car for patients living in rural and the most socially deprived areas.•Geo-location of treatment services should explicitly consider public transport access and proximity of care to vulnerable patient populations.
