摘要
The present study aimed to evaluate six methods of gaze control of pieces in board games without time pressure designed for disabled users who cannot use a keyboard or mouse. Checkers was used as an example game in the experiment, however, the pieces could only be moved one square (i.e. there were no flying kings), but the same control methods with only minor modifications can be used in most board games. By experimenting, we determined that the control method with dwell-time equal to about 600-700ms was the more practical and worked better for users, while the gesture control worked poorly, and the control method involving directly the board was rated higher than the one based on using the buttons around the board.
