A High-Efficiency Slotted Waveguide Antenna Based on Higher-Order Mode Cavity

A high-efficiency waveguide antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna employs the $\mathrm{T}\mathrm{E}_{12,1,0}$ mode to excite the top-layer parallel-plate waveguide (PPW) slot array. Across the entire operating frequency band from 92.9 GHz to 100.8 GHz, it achieves a simulated gain exceeding 27.5 dBi and an efficiency greater than 90%. It represents an attractive solution for high-efficiency antennas in the sub-terahertz frequency band.
