摘要
BackgroundFetal echocardiography can diagnose neonatal atrial flutter, which can cause heart failure in newborns. Little is known about catheter ablation in this population.MethodsCase report that aimed to review a successful ablation in a 20-day-old patient with refractory atrial flutter.ResultsThis is the first report of a successful neonatal atrial flutter ablation without any early recurrence after the procedure.ConclusionsAtrial flutter ablation performed on newborns is a reliable and long-lasting treatment option. This case report presents a successful catheter ablation procedure performed on a 20-day-old neonate with refractory atrial flutter, highlighting its effectiveness as a reliable and long-lasting treatment option in this population. The study underscores the importance of fetal echocardiography for early diagnosis and intervention to prevent neonatal heart failure caused by atrial flutter.image
