Prevalence and risk factors for abnormal glucose metabolism in first-episode and drug-naïve major depressive disorder outpatients with comorbid anxiety: A cross-sectional study from a large sample of the Chinese Han population

•This is the first study in a big sample of FEDN MDD patients with anxiety in China.•The prevalence of glucose disorders is higher in MDD combined with anxiety.•Higher serum TSH levels may be an independent risk factor for glucose disorders.•Several clinical factors contribute to the glucose disturbances in MDD patients.
