A 3D-Printed Ultra-Wideband High-Gain Horn Antenna Array Based on Phase Cancellation Method

A bandwidth enhancement method based on phase cancellation is proposed, which is useful to depress the in-phase superposition of small reflections by introducing the delay lines in the feed network. An ultra-wideband 16
$\times 16$
horn array is designed, which consists of wideband 2
$\times 2$
sub-arrays and an innovative feed network with U-shaped bended waveguides. The proposed antenna array is fabricated by three-dimensional (3D) printing technology. The excellent characteristics of the proposed array were verified, including a bandwidth of 51.5% and stable unidirectional radiation. The designed broadband high gain antenna array is meaningful to millimeter-wave (MMW) applications.
