Antioxidant diet/lifestyle could mitigate the adverse impacts of urinary polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons on lung function

•Exposure to OH-PAHs was markedly related to a higher risk of lung function reduction.•The antioxidant-centric diet/lifestyle evaluation was undertaken by employing OBS.•There were interactions between OH-PAHs and OBS on lung function.•Antioxidant diet/lifestyle alleviates the adverse impacts of PAHs on lung function.
