Chaos based speech encryption using microcontroller

In this work a real-time chaos-based speech encryption scheme designed for low-cost microcontroller implementation is presented. The method involves a two-step encryption process: shuffling based on a hash algorithm and XOR operation with a pseudo-random bit sequence from a chaotic map. Key findings include the use of a 1D chaotic map for speed, a hash algorithm to simplify shuffling and enhance overall speed, and implementation on an inexpensive STM32 microcontroller for cost-effective high security. Various tests, including Log-likelihood ratio, entropy, correlation coefficient, and spectral distortion, validate the encryption scheme's effectiveness. The result is a secure and agile system designed for sequential encryption and transmission.
