Downregulation of PDZK1 by TGF-β1 via p38 MAPK and PI3K/AKT pathways promotes EMT upon oxidative stress. Inhibition of p38/JNK MAPK and PI3K/AKT pathways upregulated PDZK1 expression and attenuated renal fibrosis.
