摘要
The growing need for sustainable fuel sources and the expanding waste management issue have prompted re-searchers to investigate waste-to-fuel conversion technologies. By using the potential of 100% tire oil (TO), a profitable and environmentally acceptable alternative to waste tire disposal may be realized. Tire oil utilization addresses waste management difficulties, reducing dependency on traditional fossil fuels, and minimizes envi-ronmental impacts. The study examined the pure diesel and diesel-tire oil blended fuel to examine the energy, exergy, economic, and sustainability parameters. Diesel fuel (DF), TO10 (Diesel 90%, TO 10%), TO20, TO30, TO50, TO70, and TO were used as tested fuel. Single-cylinder diesel engines with crankshaft speeds from 1500-3500 rpm in steps of 500 rpm were used for the experiments. The TO10 had the most significant energy efficiency (31.49%) and exergy efficiency (32.51%) at 2500 rpm compared to the other tested fuels. In com-parison to the other studied fuels, TO demonstrated the highest sustainability index with a value of 1.48 which was more sustainable than other fuels. Based on these data, it was feasible to conclude that TO10 was the most sustainable fuel and was well-suited for diesel engines with no modification.
