•Co2MnGa sample exhibits both high catalytic activity and high stability for HER.•We discover a linear relationship between the ΔGH* and the areas of TSSs.•The density of TSSs at Fermi energy level can be modulated by external factors.•Transitioning topological catalysis from nonmagnetic to magnetic categories.
