摘要
The linear depolarization ratio (LDR) is a key parameter used in remote sensing to distinguish particle types. The LDR of the soot fractal model is uneasy to match the measured values. In this paper we used three-dimensional (3D) synchrotron soft X-ray tomography (SXT) for the 3D reconstruction of the toluene-burning soot particles and used discrete dipole approximation to calculate optical properties. The obtained results showed the 3D reconstructed soot particles can efficiently reproduce the measured LDR. The results of this study will encourage us to develop a new morphology model, completely different from the traditional fractal model, for bare soot based on 3D reconstruction. This study is helpful for the understanding and explanation of LDR of bare soot particles.
