Research on the Method of Measuring the Value of Medical and Healthcare Services under the Service-Dominant Logic.

Background The value assessment of services in healthcare field is an important cornerstone to promote value-based healthcare, physician salary reform, medical price adjustment and strategic purchase of medical insurance. Methods Based on the value chain management and process management, this paper introduces the service dominant logic theory to conducts theoretical analysis on the value expression, value creation, and cost accounting of medical and health services; Furthermore, this paper proposes the idea and specific method of measuring the value of medical and health services and designs a decision-making application scenario for the methodological tool. Results Taking the nursing service of senile cataract in a tertiary hospital as an example of value measurement, this paper demonstrates the process and application of value measurement and proves the operability of the method. Conclusion Compared with the existing value measurement methods, the method proposed in this paper has the characteristics of richer value connotation, decomposable measurement process and more intuitive measurement results. It can effectively promote the integration of business and finance, the appreciation of data assets and "human-centered service" of the hospital.
