摘要
The influence of laser shock peening (LSP) on the fretting corrosion (FC) resistance of cold spray (CS) 316 L stainless steel (SS) was investigated. Results reveal that LSP allowed for less surface fracturing to occur during FC. The influence of FC also promoted the formation of Ni within the wear scar. Due to the accumulation of debris, galvanic corrosion occurred, increasing the wear-corrosion synergism. Despite this, the surface-strengthening effect of LSP had a dominant effect on FC degradation resistance, ultimately reducing material loss. Based on these findings, LSP is a viable treatment to control the FC resistance of CS 316 L SS.
